About Nektarios Tsoutsos

Dr. Nektarios Georgios Tsoutsos is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Delaware, with a joint appointment in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences. He serves as Co-Director of UD’s FinTech Innovation Hub, as well as Associate Director of the Center for Cybersecurity, Assurance, and Privacy. His research focuses on cybersecurity and applied cryptography, with particular emphasis on hardware security, trustworthy computing, and privacy outsourcing.

Dr. Tsoutsos received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from New York University and his M.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Columbia University. Prior to joining UD, he was a postdoctoral researcher at NYU, where he developed secure architectures for processing sensitive information using homomorphic encryption. He is a senior member of IEEE and a member of the Delaware Cyber Security Advisory Council. His research has been recognized by the National Science Foundation with a CAREER award in 2023.
