8:28 a.m., Jan. 29, 2016–David C. Munson Jr., the Robert J. Vlasic Dean of Engineering at the University of Michigan, will be featured in the University of Delaware Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Distinguished Lecture Series at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 9, in the Trabant University Center Theatre.

Munson, a UD alumnus, will speak on the topic “Engineering Education: Preparing Students to Change the World.”

Munson received a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from UD, and master’s degrees and his doctorate from Princeton University.

He is a fellow of the IEEE, past president of the IEEE Signal Processing Society, founding editor-in-chief of the IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, and co-founder of the IEEE International Conference on Image Processing.
