Course Description:

Wavelets and filterbanks is a relatively new area in signal and image processing and attracts tremendous attentions recently in both applications and theory. In this course, both fundamentals and some research frontiers in wavelets and filterbanks will be studied. Some of the most important applications will be also studied. These applications include wavelet denoising, subband coding and embedded zero-tree wavelet image coding, layered multicast for packet video, and transmultiplexers in communications.

Contents:

  1. Continuous Wavelet Transforms
