AREAS OF RESEARCH
Synthesis and Characterization of Semiconducting Nanomaterials, with emphasis on ZnO. Nanotechnology and Devices;  Interconnect metallization and processiung of diffusion barriers; processing and characterization of ultra-thin dielectrics on Si and SiC. Processing, characterization and device application of III-V nitride Semiconductors; Interaction of metals with semiconductors, including III-V nitrides (GaN, AlN, InN) and SiC.  Processing and charaterization of ohmic and Schottky contacts to compound semiconductors; Plasma etching and fabricationof nano-structures in SiC and related semiconductors;Analytical tools employed in our investigations include the Rutherford backscattering spectrometry (RBS), X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique, Electrical Evaluations (I-V, C-V, Hall effect techniques, Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM); Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.
