Hui Fang Joins ECE Faculty
Dr. Fang joins us as Assistant Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering. She comes from The Ohio State University where she was an assistant professor in the Computer Science Department.
Dr. Fang received her PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Her primary research interest is information retrieval, with focus on developing effective and robust retrieval models. She is also interested in networking broadly defined, bioinformatics, data mining and database systems. She received the ACM SIGIR 2004 Best Paper Award for her work on information retrieval models.
Dr. Fang has a secondary appointment in the Computer Science Department.
