Disability and the Work Force

Betsy Friedman, Program Specialist, will speak on the current efforts of The President's Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities ( http://www.pcepd.gov/). Specific emphasis will be placed on the Work Force Recruitment Program (WRP). The WRP helps try and connect highly motivated post-secondary students with disabilities with employers in both private and public sectors. Other topics that may be highlighted include disability awareness, job seeking for people with disabilities, and promoting entrepreneurial and self-employment opportunities.
