We were invited to attend the the American
Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) luncheon!
We organized a whole day of activities. A group of us
attended the AAAS activities
in the morning and then spent the afternoon at
the Franklin Institute.
We had the great opportunity to listen to President
Clinton address the AAAS. The speech was great,
and, having experienced it first hand, everyone of us
came away with a better appreciation for what is
involved in this type of effort. It took a good part
of the morning just to get everyone in the room and
passing through all kinds of surveillance equipment.
In the afternoon we visited the Franklin Institute.
We saw a good portion of their special exhibit on
the forces of nature. We also saw one of their feature
Omni Theater films about the making of roller coasters.
